Despicable Me 1 & 2

My son has me watching Despicable Me 1 and 2 about two times a day each! I'm not complaining though. These movies are absolutely adorable. I have to honestly say I have never seen them until now. My youngest(he's 2), received them both for Christmas from Santa. He is obsessed with the minions and he loves watching the movies over and over again. I don't mind it either. I think they are such cute movies and they keep his attention right on the movie for him being two. My other two children love the movie two and they are 8 and 13. So honestly the movie is for kids of all ages. If you haven't picked up the movie yet or haven't seen either of them yet, I highly recommend that you do. Thy are hilarious and I really don't think you would be disappointed!!! So check them out today!!!

A small look back into my year 2013

I think with this year coming to a close(thank god) and a new one about to start, I am going to make it my New Years Resolution to actually keep up with my blog in 2014. I really didn't do much writing in 2013. So much went on that I wished I blogged about and then again I didn't know how to or if I even wanted to. We''ve had our ups and our downs in our house like every family does, but maybe more then some should have to deal with. A few weeks back my fiancee's brother was staying here and he swore up and down since he was out of prison and on parolle he was doing so much better and that he would never go back and blah blah blah.. Well where is he today?? Back in jail. We had to call his PO. He stole from us. And not only us but my 13 year old daughter and 8 year old son. And right before Christmas. He swears up and down he didn't but when the cops called us and told us they got a hit off the serial numbers for my daughters 3DS XL well we all knew he took it. Taking from my fiancee or me is one thing but to take from our kids is another. Now the kids have no DS's and half their games are missing. Its really heartbreaking! Then after he leaves our house my fiancee's uncle moves in. This is only supposed to be temporary but who knows. I am going crazy already. No privacy, nothing. Also he acts like he owns my house or something! Rearranging things the way he wants them, doing what he wants, doing my laundry(and I separate my clothes and towels and what not. He doesn't #annoying), etc. I came home from a promo today to find half my Christmas decorations down and now they are all down!!! I'm pissed. He had no right. Nothing. I always wait til the New Year. I know it sounds like a lot of bitching but it really sets me off. You have to understand I have severe anxiety and depression and not to mention bi-polar disorder. So it takes a lot for me to not say a word. I don't like causing trouble and I don't want to start a fight. I know this is my fiances Uncle who raised him, but come on, what about me and my feelings about all this? My fiance is getting fed up too but we can't just kick him out. We honestly would never do that.
So anyways looking back on this year it wasn't all bad. We did take our kids on a mini summer vacation to Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City. They loved it. We did so much in less then a week! We went to Hershey Factory, Crayola Factory, Camping, a family reunion, Atlantic City, Johnny Rockets(we highly recommend the place as a family) Jersey Shore, the boardwalk, Central Park, etc etc. It was fun and we got to know some of our family that we haven't really known before!
Then yesterday was another bad/sad day. My grandfather on my mother's side passed away at a nursing home. He had Alzheimer's and Dementia. Its sad he has passed but he is also released from the everyday pain he was going thru. I love him and will miss him dearly.
So this concludes just a tiny look back into my year. Now I can only go forward with hopes of a better tomorrow.
Here's to good friends and family, and hoping for all the best!

Happy New Years.

2014 Here we come! Bring it on because I am ready.

“Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste”

I received a tube of Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste from Influenster in my #IDoVoxBox to try for free and give my honest opinions on and I must say that this toothpaste is great! I love the way it makes my teeth feel and look after one use. I like the taste of it also. It's not too harsh. It made my breath smell great, my teeth look whiter, and my teeth feel a lot cleaner then most of these other whitening tooth pastes that are out there now a days. I highly recommend trying this brand out if you are looking for  good whitening tooth paste for a good price! I don't think you'll be disappointed. You can find the toothpaste on Amazon for about 7.99 a tube. It' a great price.

AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT®

About this product:
• Contains a proven concentration of ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex boosted with vitamin B3 to help visibly diminish the appearance of dullness, blotchiness and brown spots • Oil-free, hydrating formula penetrates deep within skin’s surface while you sleep revealing an even, more radiant complexion • In a clinical study, women saw improvement in tone and discoloration • Gentle enough for everyday use #RadiantWithAVEENO

I received A jar of the new Aveeno Active Naturals, Positively Radiant, intensive night cream to try out from Influenster. I fell in love with it immediately. I have added this to my nightly skin regimen, permanently. It is so light weight and makes my skin feel so nice and smooth. I was using a different night time cream from a competitor brand but it didn't compare to Aveeno at all. It felt like my skin was drying out and I had to reapply it over and over again. But with Aveeno I do not have to apply this over and over again. I apply it once and it's like magic. I really love how this makes my skin feel at night, so I had to buy a backup one, I also bought a daily cream from Aveeno to add to my daily/morning routine. Aveeno makes my skin look and feel radiant. I absolutely love it. I have never tried another cream that made my skin feel like this before. My 13 year old daughter has also been using it. I love the fact that it's gentle enough for her sensitive skin.

If you'd like to know more about Aveeno check out their website HERE.

Hope you love this product as much as I do!!!

Garnier Fructis #HydraRecharge

I am in love love love with Garnier Fructis' new #HydraRecharge hair care system. I honestly use it everyday. I was so excited to be invited into this campaign by BzzAgent because I love Garnier Fructis and I wanted to try this line anyways. As soon as I got it I took a photo then opened it right up and headed up to my shower. It smells great, just like all of their other products, but the coolest thing about this product is that the shampoo has little blue moisture beads inside it. I love how they feel on my scalp while I am washing my hair. OMG it's amazing!!! So invigorating. It's a must try if you have not already.
I used the shampoo, the conditioner and the deep conditioner (conditioning mask) all in that order, all in the same shower. After my hair was washed and conditioned and I was out of the shower, my hair felt silky smooth and replenished. It honestly felt a lot better then it has in a long time. I let my hair air dry, but I still straightened it as usual. It still had that silky smooth feeling.
I am so glad I found somehthing that helps "recharge" my hair and brings it back to life. No more dry, dull looking hair for me. I am sticking to Garnier Fructis #HydraRecharge and keeping my hair full of life.

You can buy this line for about 2.96 a piece at Walmart.

One Mad Momma

I just found out from my 7 yr old son and my 12 yr old daughter that certain things happened in school today. When things like this happen I thought I was supposed to get a call from the school. No instead they tell me kids "we will handle it tomorrow" and then send them on their way.
Lets start off with my daughter since what happened to her happened when she was dropped off. After my fiance dropped her and my son off at school and he watched them walk in (she walks him to his class since he's only 7), she came back outside to hang out with her friends. Well this mother of a second grader walked down onto their playground to walk her son into school. Instead of saying excuse me or going around my daughter and her friends she pushed my daughter out of the way and said "move out of my f***ing way you @$$****." Right there I would think something would have been done by the school monitors. Well nope. After she walked her kid into school she came back out, got in her car, opened the door, proceeded to tell the girls they were a bunch of little b****es and gave them the middle finger. The girls then told a school monitor (who by the way should've been paying attention in the first place because parents are not allowed on the playground or in the school during school hours) and she told them she will tell her boss and it will be handled tomorrow. SO apprently they are going to be waiting for this lovely "mother" tomorrow on the playground to talk to her. I am highly upset because that is assault and she is an adult. I am also upset at the fact that no one bothered to call and tell us any of this went on today. I think parents deserve to know something like this. Don't you???
Now let's move onto my son being bullied today. Great luck they are having, right?? This morning this little boy who is in my son's second grade class came up to him and told him that his mother needed to talk to him afterschool about toys. Now the boys are friends. They also have religion class together. I don't know what was going on in school today with the two of them, but I will be calling tomorrow to find out. Afterschool this little boy pulled my son by his arms and coat and tried forcing him to go see his "mom." The only thing is, is that his grandma picks him up everyday, not his mom. I don't know what the boy wanted or what was going on. My son kept telling him no and to leave him alone and nothing was done about it. Thank god my fiance was waiting right there for him. I don't need these problems with the school. The kids go to a good school in a good district. I have no idea what has been going on lately but I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning and finding out.

My Hubby's 30th Birthday

So today is the hubby's 30th birthday. I want to get him something special but I have no idea what to get him yet. His twin brother bought him a brand new Xbox 360 (yes you read that right. He is a kid at heart) and one of his other brother's bought him dog tags that said "RIP Dad" with the year he was born and the year he died on one, and Semper Fi on the other. So I need some ideas on what to get him because those are two gifts that are hard to top. I will keep searching around and hopefully he will give me a hint or two on what he wants.

Just another Sunday...

So I am home. I have actually been home from the hospital since about Wednesday I think. I just have been relaxing and spending time with my kids and haven't been online much since I missed them so much. The first day being home, my 1 year old followed me around everywhere I went. He would not let me out of his site. I think he was afraid I might be leaving him again. I couldn't even go to the bathroom by myself. I mean that's normal, but it was worse then usual. He threw himself on the floor outside the door screaming bloody murder louder then ever before. Now by today he is doing much better. He is realizing I am home to stay and I have no where else I have to go. I hate being away from my kids. It's not a fun thing. I miss them so much when I don't get to see them everyday. LoL
Anyways now that I am home, my best friend, who is also like my sister has been hospitalized and been put on complete bedrest. She is pregnant and started bleeding. Doctor's said it was normal and the baby was fine, but they are giving her shots to make the baby develop quicker just in case. Sounds scary. Hopefully I can go see her tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be ok. Oh and she's not due til May. I mean she doesn't have that much longer to go, but still long enough that it's too early to have the baby now.

Well goodnight all.

Day 5 of Being Hospitalized

I guess today went a little better here. The doctor said I can moat likely go home tomorrow. My blood sugar has been pretty stable and where it should be all day long. The only reason they are really keeping me again is because apparently last night in the middle of the night when the took my blood sugar it was in the 200s. I mean c'mon really? One number is going to keep me another day? Another day away from my babies? I will really be mad though if I can't leave again tomorrow. This is the first time I've ever been away from my youngest and I am not liking it one bit. Anyways on another note I received a phone call today from Walmarts repair center about my computer. About two weeks ago I sent my computer in to get a new key board and touch pad put in because my son spilled my hubbys coffee all over it. Well they called to tell me they deemed it unfixable and that they mailed me out a check. Are you serious?!? How can you not six a key board? Ugh thanks for making my day worse. Well off to relax I guess.

Stuck in the Hospital

Well I've been stuck in the hospital since last Friday. I went to the doctor for them to check on the swelling in my legs and they did bloodwork and next thing I know I get a call to come here and I haven't been able to go home since. This has been a real inconvience since I have reviews to do and kids to take care of. It's their mid winter recess this week. I am a diabetic and my blood sugar has always been up and down no matter what. Well Friday it was sky high and they are thinking it could've been due to me taking ny insulin in my leg and my leg being swollen. But since I've been here its still been up and down. I've had better control of it at home then they have had here. I really need to get home to my kids. My hubby works all week long and I hate asking my sister to watch the kids because she is already babysitting another little girl. I am so bored and just want to get home to my kids. I feel like I can take care of myself better at home and me being here is a waste of hospital care when someone else could use this bed and the care. I'll keep everyone posted.

Student of the Month & School Policy Changes

Well I want to say I am so proud of my daughter for making student of the month again this month. This is her second time this year and she is so ecstatic. She was surprised that she was picked. The teacher never told her, but what upsets me is that we were never notified. Last year when my son was SOTM twice we were informed of it so we could go to the SOTM ceremony. Now this year since the Sandy Hook shootings everything has changed. We are not notified of anything that goes on. I understand they do these things for our kids protection but we should at least be able to go to these ceremonies still like we used to. We always had to sign in with security and now we can't even do that. It upsets me and there's nothing we can do about it. I have pictures from my son's ceremonies but none from my daughters and this was her first two SOTM awards ever! I am a little mad, and I am sure she was upset we weren't there for hers like we were for his.
The school policies have changed alot. The kids informed me that their classroom doors stay locked at all times. So if they have to go to the bathroom and come back they are locked out and have to wait for the teacher to let them in. I know its for their safety but if anything happens and they are not in the classroom, they are locked out with the danger. Does anyone else feel this is not right? We didn't even get a letter home letting us know they were even doing anything like that. I did however get a letter home about not being able to go anywhere past the new security desk. We have to wait there for our children to be brought down. That's fine with me.
I don't know. Maybe I see things differently. If anyone has any comments about this please feel free to speak your mind.

Thanks

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I will be the first to tell you, I hate snow. I hate the coldness, I hate the wetness, the fact it's so slippery, & all the car accidents because of it.

With that said, my kids had an emergency early release today due to snow. Thank god that the school has this system where it calls all the parents about the same time with a recording to let us know of such an emergency. Also teachers will call us to let us know they are releasing early.

With all the snow, rain, sleet, freezing rain, and then some more snow and rain, our roads are horrible here. I have seen 4 accidents so far today and it's not a good thing. I live in Upstate NY and we always get bad snow. If you haven't driven in the snow by now, people should not pick days like today to go out driving in it for the first time. I mean half these people have lived in Upstate NY almost all their lives or for a few winters now, to know enough to be cautious and know how to drive in it or stay off the road. Yet people still think that they can go 60 mph in this crap and nothing happen. I mean if you're not thinking about yourself when you choose to drive crazy at least take into consideration all the other people on the road who are being cautious enough. Please and Thank You.

Days like today make me want to snuggle up with some hot chocolate, a movie, warm blankets and my kids.

People it's snowing outside. Please stay safe.

Just another Monday

It's only 8:30am here and the kids are all up & ready for school. Of course the older two have the baby screaming at them already. My 1 year old has a temper on him. Right now he is yelling at his 7 year old brother "Thee." That's what he calls him. His name is Anthony. Logan is my youngest and he is hilarious and very outgoing. He has a wild personality. My boys are so different from each other. Anthony as a baby, barely cried, was always calm and kinda quiet. Logan is a tornado here. LoL I love them both so much. Then we have their 12 year old sister. She is very outgoing, loud, an very helpful. They all have their own unique personalities and sometimes they clash. Like this morning. Anthony wants to do one thing, like right now he said he wants to do a "cooking class" with play-doh, and Jenna is egging him on.. They want to be Logan's "teacher.." and homeschool him. They are planning all this stuff out while Logan pays no attention to them. He could care less. Pretty soon he will start yelling at them and controlling the situation like every other time. :) Haha Got to love it. Well the kids are almost ready for school so it's time to go.

New Year... New blogs...

Ok so now it's the new year and one of my resolutions is to blog more. I think now that my fiance finally found a job and my youngest is turning 2 soon, I will have more time to actually sit down and blog. I love to blog and it's been hard actually getting time to sit down and do it, but I think now that things are looking up for us I can have more time to blog.

Somethings I will be blogging about are my kids definitely, more reviews on products, my day, my life, and whatever else I feel like writing about. :) I like to keep a variety of things on here and not label myself to one thing. I like to try and keep things interesting. For instance, anyone who is following me, if you have kids, when did you know it was time to transition your little one from a crib to a toddler bed?? My son is 1 but turning 2 on April 1st and we just switched him into a toddler bed. He was climbing out of the crib almost every night, and it was on the lowest setting it could be on. So I knew it was time. I was afraid that if I left it a crib he would end up getting hurt one night w/o one of us knowing. Another thing, when did you start potty training?? We are starting now because he tells us he has to pee or whatever, but he won't sit on the potty chair! He acts like he is scared of his little potty when he has no pants on but will sit there like its a regular chair if he has pants on! Any suggestions to help us out??? Anything you tried?? He is definitely ready for it. :)

Also I have two other kids I like to blog about. I have a 7 year old son, and a 12 year old daughter (who is my step daughter but I love her like my own, & she even asked for me to adopt her.) She lives full time with us and never sees her own mother because she abandoned her. :( Has anyone gone through anything like this and wanted to adopt their step child? We are trying to figure out how to go about doing it? I heard if the other parent hasn't seen their child in over 6 months (its been over 6 years!!) that the adoption process will go quickly because she hasn't seen her making her have no rights at al. I don't know how true that is but I am just trying to find out.

Another you might like to know about me is I HATE DRAMA! My fiances family loves it and loves to create it. So from time to time I will blog about it only to blow off some steam. Some of them think that they are the greatest thing in the world, that they can do whatever and say whatever and nothing will be done. We all know how karma is so...

Well I hope you took some time today to read this little random to say the least, blog. Thank you.

Any thoughts? Questions?

You can always email me: nxttopmodel81285@aim.com

Have a Great Saturday everyone!!

Palmolive Fresh Infusions

I was choosen to receive a special VoxBox from Influenster and Palmolive. I get the opportunity to try out Palmolive's new line of dish soaps. They are the new Palmolive Fresh Infusions. They come in three different scents, Lime Basil, Lemon Thyme, & Ginger White Tea. I must say that they smell amazing, and they work just as well. When you use them to do your dishes, you honestly do not need a large amount. It suds right up (perfectly) and lasted throughout all the dishes I had to do, and let me tell you I let them pile up just so I could test out this dishsoap.
You can find the new line of dish soap at Target for around 2.99 or Walmart about 2.96. So there isn't much of a price difference. It is a great price for the amount you get and how well this dish soap works.
I also would like to say that the scents are mild, but you can smell them. I recommend trying them all. :) They all smell great that it's hard to pick just one favorite, but if I had to I would say I love the Ginger White Tea the best. That is the one I stuck to using for now. The Ginger White Tea is my favorite because it has a subtle yet magnificent scent to it. I also like the fact that it's the color pink. :) My favorite color. The bottle also looks really nice on my counter only because most of the things in my kitchen are red and the pink actually goes well with it. :)
I decided on giving the Lemon Thyme to my mom because that is the scent she liked the best. It reminded her of when she was younger and the Palmolive scent my grandma always uses. She really loves the subtle scent and the amazing cleaning power of the new Palmolive dish detergents.

Here is a link for the PALMOLIVE WEBSITE.

Also here is a link to some of the reviews from other Influenster members. Click HERE to check it out.
